I am so happy that you all like it as much as I do!
You offered good solution, and I will follow through, then post again.
Suz, in the store, I did try it on with my J.S. green booties, and it was also very cool. It is a look I really like too and that I plan to wear. I can see why you loved your coat till the end. This one is so comfy. I wonder why the other person stopped loving it... maybe they got a newer one, this is the only explanation I can think of, since this one has no defect (except a whole in one pocket).
Kelly, yes, here in this climate coats ARE important. Thanks for reminding me, it helps making me feel better for going over budget yesterday.
Caro, I agree the coat looks big in the pics above. I think it is due to the fact that I am wearing it with my pumps. It's roomy enough for full suits underneath, which is important here, as it gets too cold to venture outside with a suit only. Up to now my only option with suits was a parka, and even so, the parka was a bit tight and would scrunch the jackets' sleeves.
Kiwichick, I agree that the sleeves are too long in the photo. Thank you for pointing it out. And if I were to wear the coat like this, I'd have them altered. But I guarantee you that when I will be wearing those winter gloves (and more layers underneath), the sleeves will be fine. I'll post again with all the proper layers.
Moira, RunningSue, Prudence, great idea. I will shorten it. I agree with you.
Krista, thanks for the compliments and the boost about my hair! I'm trying to own it and make it work with this dress.
Deborah, despite my own feelings about the colour, I have tried not to put shampoo in it for the first 48hrs in order to preserve the colour. Reds and coppers are so quick to fade. But you are right, I think it has settled a bit.
Prudence, thank you for this! I am following your advice. I also think it is a touch loose under the arms. Maybe it will show more when I shorten it,so it's good to also take in the sides. I will also do as you say, in fact I was thinking of temporarily gluing the hem with clothing tape to see the fit. I'll post.
A, Lyn, Shevia, Thistle, Laura, Joy, Ingunn, thank you for your kind compliments!
