WIW - Star Wars top, shimmery sweater, burgundy skinnies

#1 - Star Wars top (Xmas present from my kids) with black jeans and grey boots. This was for a casual weekend day of chores and errands.

#2 - Shimmery sweater, boot cut jeans. The jeans loosen up when I wear them and get longer so they weren't this short for most of the day. Here's better pictures of my fuzzy jacket too. I wore this to my son's basketball game and then out to dinner and a movie with DH. I knew I wasn't going to have a chance to go home and figured jeans and a sweater wouldn't be too over-dressed for the game. Boy, did I get some side eye and judgy looks. Yes, most people were wearing some sort of gear but this outfit is just jeans and a sweater. I didn't think I was THAT overdressed.

#5/6 - Burgandy skinnies and striped sweater. The pants in the full length photo look really dark but they're actually closer to the color in the next photo.

Lovely! I like how you paired the animal print shoes with the sparkling sweater. That fuzzy jacket is so fun on you. Perhaps the other attendees of the games will elevate their looks next time :).

You look great. As Toban and ocean dreams said, ignore the looks as they are probably looks of admiration. Maybe others will up their game. I wore my leather skirt to church and got looks but the next week I saw three women looking fabulous in leather skirts.

Love #2! The shoes are fabulous with the sweater. And, I’m another mom who doesn’t wear gear to her kid’s games. I completely agree with you- jeans and a sweater are not over-dressed.

5 (love the pants and boots, graphic top, and tied together with the great scarf) and 2 (the necklace is perfect and the shoes are so good) are my faves, although you have the casual polish down pat in all of these. Fun jacket and you made the event better by dressing nicely.
