WIW - Party outfits, velvet, sparkles.

Here's a quick post with some holiday, festive outfit. I'm surprisingly busy this week and haven't had a chance to catch up on the forum.

#1 - Sparkly top and black jeans to my office Xmas party. It was at a local BBQ restaurant and the invite said "casual".

#2 - Brown sweater dress with my new brown boots. DH hates this dress so I wore it to work where I don't see him.

#3 - Velvet burnout top and maroon jeans (they're not as dark as the picture makes them look). I wore this to my friend's Xmas party. She lives down the street and it was a family party. I wanted to look festive but needed to be able to walk there (carrying treats and drinks) and keep track of my kids while there.

#4 - Another Darth Vader outfit to see the new Star Wars movie with my husband. I layered a black long sleeve tee under the Darth Vader tee.

Love your #2 outfit the most~ actually all looks are cute~ Who cares if your DH likes the dress or not, you should dress for yourself anyway. PS: My son said the new Star Wars movie was awful.

Violette - I loved The Last Jedi. I loved almost everything about it. However, I can see how a movie where the main theme is learning through failure is going to be polarizing.

Actually, I LOVE #2! What's not to love? Great solution to wear the dress when DH is not around. Your style is always fab. Love your hair, too. Have you done any changes? I like the slightly softer look. Super cute.

I like nr. 1 because it is simple and festive at the same time. A simple sparkly pullover is the best way to achieve a festive look without fussing too much. I like nr. 2 because the dress looks very flattering on you. But my favorite is nr. 3. The tee is very pretty (shape and colors and all) and it looks Springy to me. I like to look at something Springy while I am in the middle of a frost.

Love the burnout tee, pretty for a casual yet festive get-together. My hubby and sons went to see the new movie on opening night, too late in the evening for me. I'll go see it later

Chris987 - The tee came with the plaid scarf. My kids gave it to me for Xmas a couple years ago.

Harmonica - I'm growing my hair out a little so it's a bit longer than it was. The waves aren't natural, I use a flat iron to do them. My hair is very straight though and it takes a lot of product to get the waves to stay so I don't do it very often.

I am yet to see Star Wars The Last Jedi - the boys have been and loved it though.

And keep wearing the dress - it is a lovely cosy winter dress that suits you well. Maybe your husband is just not a brown fan?
