Hi everyone - I had to go the doc's today, and the weather was drizzly, so I decided I needed color. Lots of color! I'm sorry about the pictures, and the way I'm standing; I'm going to have to work out the iPhone thing with my narrow mirror. I'm actually not a bad photographer!

Comments and suggestions welcome...if you can actually make out anything in the pics.

ETA Photo of boots, bag, scarf, and bracelets. Boots need to be treated for scuffed toes - they're over ten years old.

Congrats on your first WIW posting. I love your pumpkin blazer and orange accents. The pictures are a little blurry from where I'm sitting. I wish I could get a better look at your boots, because I'm seriously interested in the Harness boots. YLF!

Thank you, everyone. You're all so sweet! Carole, I'll try and get a picture up of my boots tomorrow. I think mine are the 8 inch; they're not much higher than my ankle. I've had them for a number of years, and I love them dearly.

Congrats on your first WIW Beth! The first one is the hardest - and you do get better with your photography, poses, lighting, etc. as you go on. Those jeans look like a fantastic fit on you and orange is just beautiful on you - I have a crazy love for orange! I'm convinced you cannot be in a sad mood when wearing such a happy colour!

Wow, I love the orange and red together on you! And what a super outfit. It must have made more than one person's day! Love the bright autumn colors on you - very nice! I also like wearing bright colors on rainy days. One of my high school french teachers (who happened to be very fashionable) taught us to do this to brighten ouir moods on dreary days.

Thank you, everyone, so much - for weighing in, for the positive feedback, and for being so lovely and welcoming. I felt really good in this outfit. The color made me happy, and the outfit itself is comfortable to wear. Shannon, the jeans do fit well. The Lucky Charlie jeans seem to be the only ones that fit me properly these days - I have them in a couple different cuts. They're great for someone like me with a flat bum, though they are low rise (Team Low Rise for me, too, Claire and Angie!). I will work on my photo technique for next time. Who knew it was so hard to take photos of oneself? Maybe I'll try my DSLR.
