Hello all,
The last few days I have gravitated towards some more conservative outfits- probably because the summer holidays are over and it’s back to work/busy routines etc plus the I’m having second thoughts about the whole boho thing.
Any critiques or comments about these outfits is appreciated. Number 1 I was only 75% happy with because the metallic thread in the top was really itchy, and the jeans bagged out a lot as the day wore on. Number 2 I was about 75% happy with as well because I wasn’t sure if the jeans were flattering enough. Number 3 I’m 80% happy with.... because I love shift dresses and I love the rare chance to wear emerald green.

I quite like them all. A very nice conservative! Too bad about the scratch and bagging out factors.

I love the patchwork jeans and I think they look fantastic on you. The outfits all look sort of grownup and playful at the same time.

Scratchy fabric is a dealbreaker for me. I actually dislike soft, fuzzy fabrics (a lot of synthetics make my skin crawl) and I don't mind wool against my skin. So I have a pretty high bar for "too scratchy". But something like the metallic thread can drive me nuts!

Itchy metallic threads are a dealbreaker. I have passed over some very nice things because of them. Green is spectacular on you and I like both jeans.

I love how the top looks Jussie, but any itch factor would rule it out for me personally.

I'd have to wear a shirt or skivvy underneath !

Cee, Shevia, Suz, Greyscale and Rachylou: thanks for your kind words and enthusiasm. I was utterly shocked at how itchy the metallic thread is, I hope I can figure out a comfy way to wear that top as I do like it......
I love the emerald green dress, particularly because it’s thrifted :). Also the patch jeans are an interesting one, I love the funky patches but the fit is a bit unusual for me because they are neither tight nor wide or flare/legged. I guess you could call them “mom jean” fit which I’m not quite used to.

I don't think they're mom jeans (I think of that as a higher waist). I'd say they're relaxed, slim fit jeans. It's my favorite fit and I think it's flattering on you.

These are all great! Too bad that blouse it itchy because I like the black and metallic together. The jeans may feel less baggy if you rolled the hem a bit. I really like the black necklace and shoes together with the green dress. I think the two black pieces really tie together nicely.

These are all great. I love the look of #1. The column of black makes your hair the star. Too bad the metallic threads itch. The patchy jeans are fun and wow that green is spectacular on you. YLF!

Jussie- I really like the look of #1 but definitively a no go if the blouse is itchy. Love the patch work jeans. The green dress is a beautiful color on you.
