Here are some outfits not covered by what I posted about my Spain trip. Some from before, some after.

As I posted elsewhere, I failed at shopping my closet in November because I did buy stuff this week, though technically I’ve worn none of it yet. As you will see below, I did rescue some pieces from my list of items I was unsure about keeping, thanks to shopping my closet, so it's not a total loss as a challenge. I will continue doing so, because...

My husband was let go from his job. He was expecting this due to restructuring, but it happened before he had anything else in place. He got good severance and his skills are in demand, so I’m not worried. But he’s worried, so no more shopping for the moment. I believe he’ll have something else in place by the new year, and I'm still gainfully employed, so we will be fine, but I know he'll feel better if we exercise more frugality in the interim.

On to the outfits!

1. Anthro skirt - one of three fun skirts I added this fall so far.

2. Boden sweater

3. Other new fun skirt, from Boden. LOVE.

4. BR tulle skirt with Naturalizer booties

5. I rescued this jacket by shopping my closet. I don’t favor grey anymore, especially as a topper color. But it turns out I still like this Caslon topper from a couple of years ago, anyway. It was a workhorse in Spain.

6. Older J Crew top and AT sweater.

7. Casual look the day I flew, which was unusually warm (I worked from home before going to the airport and wore this to run errands)

8. New Boden sweater

9. Boden sweater from last year; still in GREAT shape. No pilling.

10. My new puffer coat’s first airing!

11. New BR sweate.

12. This top from LOFT was rescued from the chopping block as well, thanks to shopping my closet. I realized I like how it looks on me, since the bottom gathers nicely and the top makes my shoulders look wider. Not sure why I don’t reach for it more, but I will try to rectify that.

13. Another LOFT top

14. Older Boden top

I think my winter style works with multiple fun tops paired with my workhorse dark bottoms. I will pull out my white jeans soon for variety, as well as trying to wear my weather appropriate dresses and skirts more. Today’s outfit notwithstanding (#3), I need color in the winter!
