No head-to-toe denim, Charlotte. You have to pair a denim jacket with non-denim items.

Nicole, I think the jacket would work for you because you have a strong shoulder line. You should definitely give it a try.

Here's a 3/4 sleeve denim blazer style jacket from Express as well, since the Arden B one is only available in L online (in case anyone is interested):

I went to our ArdenB and they didn't have either of the denim jackets posted here yet. They did have a more traditional one that was cropped and had a great fitted waist (XS on me), but it was not dark denim and it had those deliberately faded areas (not dramatic, but they were there.)
Talbots has a nice one in denim and colors ...if you can wear epaulets.
I brought home a just-in Jones New York Signature jacket in dark stretch denim with fitted waist and big gold buttons. I'm not sure about those buttons. It's going back because it's too long (to the hip) on me to wear with skirts and dresses, but would work with pants, in case anyone is interested. The dark denim and gold buttons give it more of a finished look.
So...if anyone comes across a great little cropped dark denim jacket, please keep me in mind. I'll keep checking with ArdenB and may end up with that jacket.

Thank you Inge. The Calvin Klein at Dillards may be The One, although it looks like the light stitching really stands out.
I've noticed that the blazer styles have big expanses of chest exposed. Even with a layer underneath I'm wondering if this is a good style for a gal with a practically flat chest. They may also be too long. I guess it's best just to keep trying them on.

Did anyone order one of the ArdenB jackets online or see them in person? I'm wondering about the color of the denim. Is it dark? Is it faded in areas?

I was so excited when I saw the Anthropologie at the store recently — I thought I had hit pay dirt! But it looked just awful on me. I can't really say I know why. I really like Tanya's Arden B. find. Ladies, do you think that one would work on a tall rectangle who leans slightly to pear (like me)? Or is it too boxy?

Sorry: I should add that the Anthro. jacket would probably be very nice for Ana. I think it has your vibe. The Arden B I was referring to was the first one, not the blazer style, though that one is nice, too. The first one has an edgier quality I like.

Ana, did you end up trying some of these on and picking one? I am very curious The Arden B ones are currently $20 of.

I found the Calvin Klein jacket at Dillards and tried it on. It is a very stiff denim and the buttons would be a big problem for anyone with long fingernails. It was OK but not fab. I felt like the jacket was wearing me, it was so structured. It was also about two inches too long. I'll start a new thread with some questions.

Ran across this one on sale -- perhaps it will meet someone's needs!

I haven't had a chance to try any of them on. I went to Arden B. but they didn't have any denim jackets in the store.
