Price match fail.

So I tried to price match these shoes, because Endless doesn't have my size.

Shopbop has these

But they said they weren't the same shoe, because of the goat hair and heel size difference. Given how we've all seen huge heel height variations, hmmm. I can't say anything about the goat hair because Endless doesn't list it. I'm very suspicious given that this is not a huge manufacturer and I don't see them doing variation.s

Neiman Marcus has them too

But they said they don't price match with Endless.

I think ShopBop is full of (excuse my #$@#) crap! That is exactly the same shoe! Does ShopBop price match? If so, they are not living up to their policy.

I had an extended live chat with Shopbop. They said they would not price mtach because it isn't the same shoe.

Neimans won't price match anything. (I know, surprise, surprise.)

As for Shopbop, I suspect they are trying to get out of price matching. I had them do that do me a couple times. I don't know why they bother saying they will price match because it seems they do everything they can to weasel out of such requests.

Maybe try getting a different CS rep? Or a manager?

I've opened both links in separate tabs and keep looking back and forth.... looks like the same darn shoe to me.
Can you contact the manufacturer and ask them about it? And call shopbop again and maybe you'll get a different sales rep.
You could also call endless and ask them for the style number... it's not listed on the endless site, but it is listed on the Shopbop site.
That is a HUGE price difference!

So I sent an email to the manufacturer with links to Shopbop and Endless. I asked if they manufactured two different versions. We'll see.

No, but Shopbop cracked. The Amazon listing listed the manufacturer's style # which matched their's. They agreed to the price match. If they didn't I was going to raise holy heck because Shopbop is owned by Amazon. I have to place the order over the phone.

YAY for your persistence Anna! There's no way they should have not matched, they were playing the odds that you wouldn't be persistent. They didn't know you had the whole YLF community behind you!

So I got an email from the manufacturer today. It was this, no greeting, no ending.

We only manufacture with the off white fur. But we also have on our website available in grey suede.

I'm a bit appalled at the bad English and it really didn't answer my question.

I am puzzled by this. I would contact them again and ask to speak to s upervisor. I think part of what may be happening is that SM is changing designers - the original team left - so you may be getting a weird transitional response.
