Pantone’s 5 colors for 2023-which might you wear?

Regarding the Pantone 2023 colors mentioned in the fashion news roundup, I can see myself wearing Skylight but not the other 4.
How about you?

So the colors are: Viva Magenta, Skylight, Macchiato, Beetroot Purple and Classic Green (added photos below).

I like all the colors, and have them to some extent. Since I have already chosen my color palettes for SS2023, the two that are incorporated are Skylight an Macchiato. I also have a more blue/purple version of Beetroot Purple, the one listed in the article looks more like hot pink to me. I haven't chosen the Fall color scheme yet, and it may end up incorporating magenta.

I could see wearing any of the first four in a print or a stripe, but none of them speak to me for an entire garment.

These colors don't suit me or attract me, except for #3, which is a neutral. Yikes! So bright!

Interesting . Not a single one of these appeals to me for clothing or home decor . Maybe Macchiato , but I’m a bit earth tone - overloaded at this time .

Not really a colour I’ve ever worn (outside of fitness kit) and not sure it even works with my complexion, but I’m obsessed with these shoes…

This particular magenta looks very warm and electric -- so while I thought it might work for me, nope.

The beetroot purple is more my speed. I thought that was closer to magenta. What do I know?

One of my cycling tops is about that Viva Magenta- good for visibility, but wouldn't wear it otherwise.

Macchiato would be a good underwear color- it's a nude to me. Not that I expect retail to comply of course!

Skylight is about the color of my walls! Maybe I'd wear it in a print with brown or olive, but way too pale and cool for me otherwise.

Definitely not feeling the beetroot purple or the classic green. Generally I like green, but not that one.

I saw these yesterday and thought "If only it was ..." to every one of them. If only the magenta were warmer, if only the skylight was deeper, if the macchiato and classic green were cooler. I'm confused by the beetroot purple. It looks pink to me, in which case I could theoretically wear it, but purples are generally ghastly on me.

Mere HOURS ago I saw a jacket at Athleta, and thought, huh, that is an interesting color. Would you call that truffle? Or mink? Or biscuit? And now I know, it's macchiato.

It's not a color I own at all right now, but I think it would be a really good light neutral for a spring jacket. I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy that jacket, at least as soon as the weather gets over 40°. I already own the Pantone magenta in a couple of tops, and love it. The other colors - not for me.

I love the pink, purple and green. Pale blue is probably the worst color in the world for me, and while I wear an occasional earth tone, I never really pay attention to which shade of brown it is.

I could cheerily do Skylight, if I actually see it at retail. Most of the light blue I have seen so far is cooler and dustier. Hopefully that will change. The rest both don’t appeal to me and look dreadful on me, so this cycle should be good for my wallet.

I can hardly ever find the baby/sky blue I want and this tone is too aqua for me. Otherwise, I like the rest of it a lot, with the exception of preferring green more to the emerald.

I find the colour swatch versions of the Pantone colours generally flat and uninspiring, but enjoy articles that show textured/real life examples. Below is one on magenta in home decor. I still won’t be doing bright pink in any form, just not my thing, but can appreciate these shots showing it in context. I do love green but not this one. The blue and the brown are both colours (or nearly so) I was looking at last summer, so they’ll probably be on my radar again (I’m sorted for winter and those are both say summer palette to me).

Skylight and Beetroot Purple (that I call pale blue and fuchsia) are colors that I wear usually. I have some Spring/Summer items in them.
As per the other colors I generally do not wear them but ... never say never.

That Classic Green is a dead ringer for the shade of green I am always trying to find—just a little more yellow than most bright greens. I hope it will be out there! I like all of these except the magenta. Skylight and macchiato would make a great combo!

Skylight is the only one I can get enthused about. I’d do the others in a print, perhaps, but they’re not my favorites. Is anyone else tired of pink? We had millennial pink and blush for years and now magenta and hot pink… I’m glad for those who like it, but dang, there are other colors! I’d love some green, but that particular green is a bit too bright and warm for me.
