Angie: Thank you for commenting! Two things you said just rang really true for me. First, tomgirl. Such a perfect word and one I can really wrap my head around! So thank you for that. The feminine has become a stronger aspect of my dressing but I haven't let go of a bit of the edge or scruff of the old, and tomgirl captures that perfectly. Second, untucking the gingham (I think Lisa also recommended that), wearing with white jeans, and keeping for summer. You're so right. Pushing it to the back of my closet now.

Roxanna: Very good point about the vamp of the loafer. I do like the loafer with my cropped flared trousers, but with these jeans it feels off. I wasn't thinking about the shoe so much but with booties it might have been much better.

Lisap: I will check the brand of the cardigan and let you know. My friend bought it for me as a bday gift when we were out together at a little shop in Freeport, Maine. Not expensive.

My pleasure, Viv. Sometimes a word, outfit or dressing strategy can pull EVERYTHING else into place. I had a similar reaction - and feeling of relief - when I hit on my style descriptor/ moniker, "Urban Pretty" (amping up the pretty, lady, and elegance are very important to me as I get older). You are not a Tomboy. You're the perfect TomGIRL. Casual Gamine Glam. Run with it and see where it takes you. Have fun!

I would have never realized that you were struggling after reviewing these outfits. I can't even pick a favorite, I like them all.

I think your White Zara tie neck blouse is so elegant! I also like the grey trousers with my favourite rust booties!
The cute outfit with the turtle neck and sneakers is great too. I like the earrrings you chose.

Are you sure you’re not a stylist yourself!?
