It was a pretty successful NAS for me, thanks to Angie and the YLF tribe!

The sweater I bought in tobacco not this black, though may duplicate. Sizing up to 8 from my normal 4-6 worked well, its sleek but not skin tight. The sleeves fit correctly (often an issue). The color is a wonderful mid tone orangey brown, enough darker and brighter than my skin to avoid the uncanny valley. The buttons dress it up, the fabric is nice, and its sufficiently warm but not bulky.

The raincoat i was unsure at first cause i tried it over skimpy gymwear but it works well with layers, Including my workhorse orange maxi cardi. It has a nice cozy plush interior and the color has sheen but not ott shiny. My main complaint is it relies too much on the drawstring for structure, so i have about an extra 8 inches on each side.

The purple midi i sized down to xs per customer reviews, but am reordering in s due to vpl. The color is great and works well with the tobacco sweater, and several of my existing blouses. I normally don't wear midi length (its longer on me than the model) but it works cause the shape is so fitted.

Glad you found some keepers. I toyed with the idea of the sweater and the midi skirt, but ended up deciding against them.

Sorry should have tagged this w NAS but can't figure out how to rehome it!
They could be more challenging pieces if you're used to looser fits for sure, but i figure they'll force me to keep tracking my calories! Im also figuring on working them with items with more volume as well as together. My blouses especially are quite loose in the body so look best with very streamlined bottoms. And ill be doing low value contrast, so will just look like one long curvy line!

Thanks! Normally I dont shop online as my try to buy ratio is about 40 to 1 (i think shop clerks probably hate me) but figured id take a chance. My new office is near no irl shopping, besides Walmart and one little boutique thats not open Mondays and Tuesdays.
Do you think sizing up the purple skirt will tame the vpl?

I too bought the purple midi and sized down one size. There is enough give in the fabric to accomodate the body’s shift in a couple pounds. I might consider for me wearing a one piece slimmer to get that smooth line. Really love your combining with the tobacco top—that color is gorgeous. When I asked a clerk at Nordie’s what tops she’d recommend she said, how bout a nice grey tee, tucked. Works but your tobacco top ups the ante for sure!

The color is great Sterling, warm and rich purple. Besides the tobacco sweater, ill probably pair it with black (of course), dark brown, orange, olive, teal, hot pink, dark green tops. And i have a purple/red orange/ black blouse and a purple/black floral blouse for prints. If a dressy amber yellow top appears that will go nice too. Nearly all my wardrobe is medium to dark, but i like bold color combinations.
I thought about putting a shapewear slip under but will try the regular small too since its available now.

So the regular small in the skirt is a winner, and i like the skirt +sweater combo! May post a wiw later, my woman cave is a bit chaotic right now.
And the sweater goes happily with this skirt!

Love all the colors you posted that would work with this purple skirt. Helpful to me as we are skirt twins. I know . . . you could do a post on WIW with this purple skirt so we could see all the possibilities. that's a goal of mine to get better at constructing 'outfits.'

Eventually Ill do that, I have probably 15 or so tops that should work with it!
Sleeved blouses in: black, fuscia, tonal purple, olive, rust, orange, teal, purple/red/black print, purple/black floral
Sleeveless blouses: black, olive, dark blush
Sweaters: rust (new), emerald green, black, blush
Thats what I can think of off the top!
Will also be looking for tops in dark brown and mustard to pair it with

I’d love to see pics of the purple skirt and sleeved blouses. I’m having trouble imagining what you do with tuck/untuck/semituck/faux tuck etc. and the lovely stretchy skirt.
