Wow, what a nice surprise! Thank you all so much for the helpful comments. I’ve been running around like a crazy person and just now am sitting down waiting for the next round of taxi calls! Overall, it seems like we agree that the bomber works best with the casual bottoms and only somewhat well with the dresses. I’m going to play around with it a little more before I make a decision. I love the print and the oversized shape though.
@texstyle: Thank you. The sandals are Softt that I picked up a couple of years ago. They are very comfortable but require bending over and buckling for exit and entry (so they don’t get worn as often as they should.) I know, I loved Ingunn’s stylings and that’s what made me think this bomber would be just as fab. Ingunn makes it look easy. I think it’s the shape that makes it challenging for me--it’s roomy and the proportions are throwing me off.
@Una: Thanks. Cathy warned me about the Hinge. I’m doubtful the M will fit if it is tight on her. I wonder it yours will loosen up a little with wear. I prefer loose for summer--not sure if I could stand to wear a tight layer. I can’t wait to see yours in action.
@pil, caro, Isabela, Shannon, Nicole D, Melllllis and Thistle: Thank you!
@Dana: Lol! Not really. Major procrastinator here. I work better under pressure. Thank you. The beauty of these cargos is that they have elasticated hems so they never come down once I pull them up. I totally agree about the casual bottoms with the bomber. Those work well--it’s the dresses that are problematic.
@Alicat: That is such a nice thing to say. Thank you so much! Davey says “Mrowr” right back at ya!
@Angie: LOL! Thank you. I’m so happy to inspire a fainting spell! My casual style is all thanks to you. I have learned so much here!
@rachylou: Thank you. Watch out for my watch cat! Glad you like the bomber.
@Aida: Aww, thanks, Aida! I am really digging the color these days. I look at my drab neutral winter sweaters and want to toss them all out. I don’t know what has come over me. Can’t wait to see the twinnie dress. I think I copied you and Shannon on this one. I thought the light vest and boots helped lighten it up for spring. To me, the dress looks fall but it’s too lightweight and hosiery sticks to it without a slip. Glad you like the blog outfit copy--I loved that look. I was fiddling around with DD’s clutch and then realized my everyday, year round bag is berry red! How perfect is that! I carry the same purse day in and day out and I forgot it was red! I could wear variations on this outfit several times a week, I think! I hear you on the bomber--thanks for chiming in!
@Parsley: Thank you! The sandals are Softt from a couple summers ago. Very comfortable and the only red shoes I own (besides a pair of boots.)
@Jjsloane: Thank you! That is such a nice thing to say. I’m tickled. DId you keep the floral bomber?
@Bj1111: Thank you. The tee in collage #2 is a Caslon that I picked up last summer. I’m sure they have something similar this year. I like the length and it’s fairly opaque for white. The white tee in collage 1 is Merona from last summer. The white button down is Kirkland. Denise pointed those out to me.
@Shevia: Thank you! You are too kind
