Although i’m trying to buy fewer jeans, I could not pass up these Levi’s Wedgie jeans, a style recommended by Angie.

I sized up 3 sizes to get a good rear fit. The waist was far too large though, and there is no stretch in the material, so it was ridiculously evident.

Normally I would just pass on such an ill-fitting waist, or else size down to get a better fit in the waist (leaving me with a too-tight fit in the bum and a still-too-loose fit in the waist).

This time though, I decided to take a chance on them since they were on sale, and had the seamstress take 3” off the waist.

Now what a beautiful fit! And what really surprised me was that you can’t tell they were altered and nothing looks off.

One thing I will ask is: maybe the back leg is too big (photo 1)?
