...probably it was the long belted trench coat and the big shades, not pictured. It's still unseasonably chilly -- low single digits -- so I wanted warm and cozy. These black on black houndstooth corduroy skinnies fit the bill. This striped shirt with French cuffs required cufflinks, so tucking it seemed appropriate. I wanted still more warmth so I tied on a turquoise silk neckscarf, to add one element of spring colour. I wore black socks inside my black cutout booties, so they were pretty subtle, but got a compliment nonetheless.

This skews much more classic than my usual scrunched/untucked RATE rendition, but it still felt like me. And Jackie O, once I added the big shades. (Although I was so cold on my noon walk that I pulled on my fingerless gloves, that make me feel more like Bill Sykes.)
