Would you mind creating a list of all the items (excluding the underpinnings and hosiery kind of things :D)?

I a bit late to this thread but am duly impressed, and love your roadkill outfil.
My first personal response to your wardrobe picture was to think "Oh, I have about the same amount of things". Then I counted! I had 36 , not including anything in the wash or on the coat hooks, compared to your 20ish. And do you really only have 1 pair of jeans!!?

Anyway, as Suz so carefully delineated, we all have different contraints (mine include no A/C in summer and a much colder house in winter, work and the need for more laundry rotation space)

But as ever, you are an inspiration (off to check your kitchen drawers again)

It's a thing of beauty - truly! And your kitchen drawers - gawd.... I can only dream!

Wow, what a calm and orderly wardrobe--a thing of beauty! Real Simple wants your closet! And you look so fab in the leopard twinset. Retro and modern and lovely all at the same time!

Look what I also found, Claire! Right up your alley I think?

Excellent article, Manidipa! Thank you so much. After reading a few of the comments, it's easy to see that what is thrilling for one person is a total yawn for someone else. Oh well, to each his own I guess, but I can certainly identify with the author!

I thought for sure I had already commented on this. Claire, I love reading your posts. You are so caring and charming and it just comes thru in your writing. I could never, ever have a condensed wardrobe like this but I admire yours and it works for you. I want your new sandals, lol!

I love this post! It's awesome how you managed to really pare it down. I also had a look at the article Manidipa linked to and I really liked it. I've read the comments, just like you Claire, and found it funny that the critique was mostly about the colors. I mean she nowwhere said you had to copy HER wardrobe, did she? I thought the approach made sense.
