Picasso, too, was quite the misogynist, but I love his art. Even flawed people can create beauty. I wasn't focusing on the KL the man, but KL the artist/designer. Coco Chanel herself was far from perfect, but her designs are genius. Ars gratia artis, you know?
Agreed. Good thing I can admire someone's work without contributing to their pockets if I find their stances objectionable. Goes for musicians, designers, etc.
Yes, it can be difficult to separate one's feelings about the artist from how you view their creations. I have a pretty dim view of Frank Sinatra the man, but I own many of his recordings. I can't help it, I love his voice, and that's how we remember him when all is said and done.
