Update: Glitches Relating to New Security

[This is an update on the previous thread about glitches]

One of the reasons we have been seeing trouble relates to the fact that I hadn't yet installed the same security features on lookfab.com (where your lookfab blogs appear). Now I have done so and that might clear up some remaining issues.

As before, you may need to log out and log back in. You may even need to clear your browser cache.

Thank you for your hard work, Greg! Don't know where you get YOUR patience.

So... I don't remember what the glitches I saw were... but to log in now, I had to do it twice, I'm seeing a server not found message for the link to the previous thread, and my avatar doesn't show to me in my posted replies to threads (but I can see it in the upper right and in this compose post box).

I'm on iPhone 7+, LTE connection...

Greg, this is not directly related to the new change but is indirectly related for me -- it's a Safari issue. For a while I was using Chrome as my browser, but with the new security stuff Safari seemed a better option (showed avatars, etc), so I switched to that browser.

What happens in Safari (and the reason I had moved to Chrome for YLF in the first place) is that often when a page comes up, all the Finds are jumbled or laid on top of each other and sometimes on top of the print of a post as well. If I refresh the page, it usually but not always helps. Doesn't always do away with the problem.
This did not happen for me in Chrome (or happened so rarely I can't remember it).

Not a huge priority for you, but I thought I would mention it just in case.

Running a Macbook Pro, Sierra, latest version. It happened on earlier versions also.

I have the same issue as Rachylou where I always have to sign in twice. It doesn't matter if I'm on a regular computer or my phone.

Never have had any problems, using Safari (OS X El Capitan), on 'Ol Faithful - my 2010 MacBook Pro.

Suz-I have frequently seen the same Finds jumble problem with Safari on my Mac and my iPad, even before Greg's security updates. What sometimes works is to refresh the page or to change fro M to S or L and back.

Thanks very much for the additional info.

If you have to log in twice, have you tried to clear your browser cache (browser data)? That should solve the problem. If you have cleared your cache AND you still continue to see this issue, please let me know.

The same applies to the icons that are jumbled.

Also, I got the link to the previous thread wrong but I've fixed that now.

Cleared the cache, double login is gone and I can see my avatar again. Smooth

I've cleared the browser data and it still happens. Also, like kerlyn, it takes to me to the main blog, even if I was in the forum. I usually use Google Chrome.

No change for me yet. I cleared the cache, then logged off and back on. Double signin, redirect to the main page, icons not displaying, cannot upload photos, cannot access more than the first page of Finds when viewing a thread. Using Firefox 45.8.0 (I cannot update this myself), Windows 8. I have a lot going on but I will restart the browser as well later.

I don't know if it's related to the security changes, but the YLF app stopped working for me recently. Here's the error.

Greg, I was having the same problems as Ginger (Firefox on Mac OS 10.9) but today they seem to have all gone away and everything is working perfectly! THANK YOU!!!!!

Jenn, I think I found the source of that error and corrected it. It was indeed related to the security change. Many thanks for letting us know.
