I was revisiting a post from last Spring in which I was mulling over some of my color cravings at the time, thinking about how those hues translate to what I'm leaning toward in the fall. I'm still big on emerald and turquoise with a lot of cobalt and coral thrown into the mix, and as the days darken I'm starting to pair those bright hues with darker outfits - black, plummy purple, burgundy. And fall is a perfect opportunity to keep playing with "spicy" colors.

I'm also really digging knit blazers. I leave the house at 6:30 AM, so even on a day that ends up being sunny and warm, I'm incredibly chilly during my morning commute and need to throw on a cozy top layer!

A representation of what I've been wearing this fall so far:
1. Cobalt faux-wrap dress; cobalt and white striped knit blazer; coral beaded necklace; orange pumps
2. Dark purple, pink, and black knit midi dress; magenta knit blazer with white trim; orange pumps; gold and turquoise bumblebee brooch
3. Colorful "scribble print" faux-wrap dress; cobalt knit blazer; silver pendant on a cord; purple low-heeled slingback pumps
4. Black and white faux-wrap dress; emerald and black cardigan; teal disc earring worn as a pendant necklace; aqua pumps
5. Worn on a warm day to watch my dad's jazz quartet perform: emerald pleated knit skirt; wide black belt; sleeveless leopard-print pussycat bow blouse; beige and black patent flats
