After trying the Coco jeans that Angie recommended in my usual size and finding them a bit loose in the waist and upper hip, I decided to order them a size down. Pics 1-5 show them in this smaller size (29), which seems a much better fit on me.

Funnily enough, even though both the 30’s and 29’s were “talls,” the 29s are a full inch longer than the 30s. I don’t mind this, as so many jeans are just that little bit too short on me, and I’d rather have a little extra and hem half an inch than feel like I’m wearing floods. These are a decent straight leg width that can be worn full-length, cuffed or rolled.

Pics 6-8 I also like the AG Harpers but as you can see, they have a narrower, almost closer to a skinny fit, which is not what I want — I am fully stocked on skinnies and we are coming into the time of year when I gravitate to looser, more airy fits for comfort sake. Plus, I don’t care for that whiskering right at the low hip where I do not need horizontal emphasis. It’s a shame because I like that slightly lighter wash.

Before I commit to the Cocos, I am ordering them in a couple of other washes from Amazon Prime Wardrobe. I’ll see if I like those washes equally well or better than this dark wash. I’m usually a fan of a good uniform dark wash, but I tend to wear these straighter leg styles in the spring and fall, when I wouldn’t mind a lighter color. Sheesh, jeans shopping is HARD.

Also, the other day I had a look around Anthro, where I found some potential good wardrobe additions for summer. Finds are no longer available for Anthro so I will try to add links later from my computer if anyone is interested.

Pic 9 Neutral off-white/cream lightweight sweater. Nice texture and easy fit with just a slight amount of boxiness. Good cropped length that is not too short. There is a pretty coral color but I liked the cream for me.

Pic 10. This little black vest strikes me as potentially really versatile. It’s a knit so spans the casual-dressy spectrum well, and it looks good buttoned up as a top or open as a vest over a top or dress. Good coverage under the arm so it’s comforable to wear by itself. May run a little big as I comfortably took a small.

11. This ribbed dress is really cute and I love the idea of a casual knit midi dress, but I think it kinda emphasizes my boobs. I need to try it on at home with a minimzer bra and see if it passes muster. I don’t wear a lot of olive, but I do like it and I think the color is JFE on me.

12. Wanderer button front shorts. No-brainer! I need new shorts this year and these are easy and casual, a great length for me, and a loose fit (which I prefer in shorts) even a size down from my usual — I could wear these in a 28 and that never happens. I may get another color if they offer more later.

13. Navy tank top. Simple basic with a twist. I could use more navy in my summer wardrobe, and it fits nicely (I took a small).

Yikes, looks like March may be my month to break my shopping limit. But I’m inclined to jump on good summer stuff now while it’s in stock in my sizes.
