Difficult to style colored denim jacket!

Hello lovely YLFR'S
I have avoided wearing this jacket because I find the color and cut difficult to style. I have attempted to work with it as best I can but I don't know if it will do. Is the color ok?

Checkerboard scarf
BR gray turtleneck
Black jeans
Black boots
light green denim jacket

I don't have a lot emotionally invested in the piece so please do feel free to make suggestions.

I think this looks wonderful on you Meredith - I love the colour and the fit looks really good. Ditto Rute on dark purple and blue denim to try with it - I think it would also look nice and "crisp" with white come summer time.

Oooh, lovely spring colour! This looks so fresh. Black, purple, indigo, grey will all look great with it. Experiment! You can pair it with summer dresses, as well as dark bottoms, and dress it up or down.

I think you've done a really nice job with it here and I love the other suggestions. This looks very nice on you. I would even experiment with the complimentary color - coral I would think in this case. Also you could pair the mint green and coral with a deep chocolate brown or deep teal green...terracotta would also be an option instead of coral.

Fit is great on you! It does seem like a spring color - pairing with the gray is nice to bring a touch of color to winter.
You could pair your new striped boatnecks (blue) and white jeans when the weather is warmer.

Ladies,
These are all great suggestions. I say hurry up Spring so I can start wearing this in more "springy" ways. I have blue denim (can't wear to work!) but I can defnitely try the other color combos mentioned and of course dresses or skirts in the summer. Lots to think about and more styling options then I could have dreamt up on my own! Thanks so much for the help!!

How do you feel in the color? I have coloring similar to yours and I'm not sure I could wear it. You could wear mostly blue with a blue printed scarf (so that it would be next to your face) and throw the jacket on top like a pop of color, or use Angie's column of denim formula with the bright jacket (instead of trying to pick up the green in your scarf). And then there's always good ole Rit dye. I would dig it if it had a tiny bit more blue in the green. Take what I say with a grain of salt, but I was picking up on what you said about the color being difficult.

I like the idea of putting blue in a top or a blue printed scarf near the face or even dyeing it! It isn't that I dislike the color per se but I did feel that I was having a difficult time imagining what in my wardrobe it would go with. I'm going to try any all ideas floated here. Some of our members came up with some good suggestions to try! I really appreciate your feedback and I'm going to incorporate that with the piece. I reserve the right to dye it if necessary! I'd like to make it work with a lot of items because I do like the cut of the jacket.
