I finally got back to this thread and agree with the others about the dresses. For the skirts you've posted in the closet cleanout, I liked 11, 12 and 16. About styles other than pencil skirts, I especially like summer skirts with the top part narrow like a pencil skirt and a bit of gathering (not much) or pleats at the lower half for a bit of fullness. Inverted pleats can work. I like my white and dark denim pencil skirts for summer because the fabric is heavy enough not to need lining or slip. They seem cooler than clams or shorts.

Sewn down drop to pleats or gathers something like this only even lower:

Oh, Joy, what pretty skirts. Thanks for the inspiration! I love the Jones New York floral, the Classiques Entier skirt (adore the flared hem), and the roll waist A-line (although roll waists unfortunately tend to roll down since I don't have a flat stomach.)

Although I have a dark denim pencil skirt, the material has a slight sheen that makes the fabric look a bit more formal than normal denim. I'm not sure it would work for summer, which makes me lean towards keeping this A-line skirt. The only question is whether it's worth keeping to the extent of getting the hem re-done. It is truly an awful hem as is right now.
