BF jeans 3 ways with new booties - need opinions plesae

Trying to find a combo that started from the floor up. First outing for my Zodiac patent booties, decided on Mavi BFs. Added Esprit studded belt, BR silver tank. Experimented with a few toppers
1. Cascading space dye cardigan
2. Boden Striped Card?
3. Ended up with old standby drop shoulder top

Question on the roll and booties combo - how much skin (if any) to show? I wore short socks so they didn't show, but the pants sort of met the boot top. What's the rule?

Jeanne, you look amazing! You have the BEST legs for pants in the world. I love each and every one of these looks on you.

We are all struggling with this now that the boots have come out - I mean the where to end the roll question. Most are going for somewhere near the top of the bootie with no skin showing.

i like the proportions in #1 and #3 best. love how you wore the bfs with the boots. as suz said, a tough spot.

I think all of these look great! I like the length of the roll here; I don't know if I'd like skin showing as much.

The roll/boots look great to me as is! These are the same booties I just got in taupe; yours look perfect with the jeans and the tops (nice bookending effect with the black in the tops). Like bj, I like the proportions in 1 and 3 the best.

Wow, you're getting all set for booties w/BFs for fall! They're all plenty wonderful to wear, but I'm preferring 1 and 3 over 2 and I think it's because of #2 sweater is that inbetween hip length we're more used to seeing.

I need rolling help too because I always seem to choose the unflattering length.
