Hi everyone! Hope you're doing amazing.

I finally bought some skinny jeans and a couple of tops to go with them, can I please get a critique, suggestions, and help with accessories?

I'm so clueless with these things.
I'd love to get one of those wide torc like collars with a gem in but I can't for the life of me find them anywhere.

I can't quite make out the details of the tops in some of the pictures, but I really like the first two tops. Is the top in #9 the same top in #13?

I love the necklaces you're already wearing, but I've seen the type of necklace you describe at every local artisan or crafts fair I've come across - see if there is a holiday fair happening in your neighborhood. Also, look at Goodwill, or a costume shop, like Party City. If it isn't perfect, you can always doctor it a bit.

I did not know the word torc, had to look it up and discovered that I have one. I got it at a flea market in Berlin.

I wanted to get one for my sister for Christmas this year, but not knowing the right word, I searched for “collar” necklaces and wound up getting her this one from Nordstrom’s. It isn’t stiff like you want, but you might like it anyway because it sort of has a similar effect.

LBD’s idea of supporting individual artists is great. Another way to do that is by shopping on Etsy. I just checked there for torc and found a bunch, ranging from $31 to about $85.

I like the necklaces you have on. The first top is my favorite.

The skinny jeans look good.

I like the top in #5 best because it does not cling to the mid-section.

I like the second top best too. The olive is not as harsh on you as black is, but still looks great with black. Your necklaces look great, especially the one in #8 as it gives you some sparkle.

Angie I definitely agree that clingy isn't great. Hopefully one day I'll manage to lose enough weight that clingy looks good

Joy Annoyingly the colour selection at Target was... not that great, especially not in the kind of styles I was looking at. Did you have any suggestion on what colour(s) would look good?
Especially if combined with the black leather bomber jacket that I have on order

The shape of the top you have on in the #14 pic is lovely. Very flattering. I also like the purple necklace. Have you ever considered a silver cuff bracelet? I love those, especially when you have on short sleeves! You can find them anywhere, especially at a Brighton store!

The top in #14 is the same as the ones before that, but it has a *lot* of play with the shoulders angle and such, and playing with that was a fun test

The purple necklace, I assume you mean the black collar with the purple tag? Yeah, I love that one too
Even if I'm sure wearing it with the tag would get a few odd looks at times.

I do have a couple of cuff bracelets around, but they're ones picked up for costumes so they're pretty fancy. Would you suggest something simple and plain instead?

I just came across this on ASOS. It is not a torc, but has a similar look and might go well with black or other neutral tops (or with the second one, if you want to do red & green for Christmas). Agreeing with Angie about the non clinging top in 5, but I also like the whole style of that look, the chunkier lace up boots, the necklace, and the green is pretty with your hair color.

And there is something really flattering about the last top too.

The green top is lovely on you,it really brings out the warm tones in your hair.Could I suggest a scarf as an alternative to a necklace perhaps mixing the blue of the jeans with a colour that suits you and a tiny fleck of black to link all the pieces of your outfit together.some bold earrings are another option and have you tried cuffing the bottom of your jeans to change the look slightly as well.Have fun experimenting!

The jeans look great. I really like the green top too, both color and style. And love the boots too. I think the last top looks best with the draped, cowl neck (14) vs the off the shoulder. It is a very flattering neckline on you. If I wear something more formfitting in a knit, I sometime find a heavier fabric works better for me than t shirt weight. It stays smoother.

I’m not good with necklaces but like the suggestion given.
