I snapped quick photos and never posted these, but I enjoyed both outfits enough to post. It’s also kinda fun to see two very different sides of my style.

1 was what I wore for our friend’s mayoral inauguration ceremony. It was outdoors and quite cool, but I had gloves and have a Uniqlo heattech layer under my sweater, so I felt fine. I love that most of this outfit was discount shopping finds — wool jacket from Century 21, cashmere sweater from TJMaxx, and the green faux fur collar was a $10 steal at Marshall’s the other day. Worn with black Pilcro flares and the Hispanitas floral booties.

2 was worn for an afternoon of errands and coffee with a friend, and then dinner with another friend and a concert (The National). So I was skewing more my usual casual/rock self. Old Mubaa jacket, metallic tee, and the rough hem Paige Horton black skinnies and my recently purchased oxblood boots (which have proven to be total workhorses). I still had my blowout intact from the event the night before — I can never get my hair that straight on my own!

Comments, critiques, etc always welcome.
