30x30 first 10 days - YouLookFab Forum

Repeat, repeat, repeat. Having tasked myself with a small chore a day (hang art, reupholster 2 dining room chairs, reorganize storage, take down Christmas tree, etc.) I was happiest in jeans and one of 3 identical black T’s or a velour top days 1-7. Back at work Monday it was all about staying warm in a cold office so velour top or black sweater over black (textured) leggings.

Black 3/4 T’s x 3 -Uniqlo
Wine velour top - Winners
Black sweater - MWWH
Black leggings - MWWH
Black tank under sweater - Sears

8 garments supplemented by sneakers, booties, tall boots, winter coat, scarf, gloves, bag - another 8 items.

Since I’m pretty busy, a simple formula of high comfort items that I don’t have to think too much about works best.

The stay at home outfits are meh, but I like the column of black for work and when I did a repeat, wore my tall boots and liked that look best.

YLF! Retirement means easy outfits that can do chores and cleaning, decent enough to invite a neighbor in for coffee or tea, can walk the dog, be ready in minutes to go out for lunch or something, and won't get wrinkled if you lie down for a nap.

Angie, your comment sent me off to do some measurements.
The thickest part of my calf measures 14 in. around, and boots measure 15 in. at that point - so only 1 inch difference. However, at the top of the boot it measures 16 inches and is the boot's widest point. I have muscular legs, but my ankles and knees are narrow, so the boot gaps a the top. The boots are riding style, are 4.5 years old, and my only tall boots.

I noticed the gap in pics taken last month, but wasn't sure what to think other than it was the nature of this type of boot. Should I be looking at a more form fitting boot? I wear these with skirts and dresses, but also with leggings or jeans tucked in.

I don't love high boots, and was thinking of replacing these with ones with lower heels. Heel height on these is 1 inch and I'd like to go lower.

Joy, not retired yet! (Else I'd go shopping for loungewear and fill that wardrobe hole!). 2.5 months to go.

Carla, since you're in the market for a pair of tall boots with lower heels, you might as well get a pair that fit more snugly on the calf, and are not quite as high in the shaft.

Lightbulb! A lower shaft would certainly sort out the gaping at the top. All part of ' attention to fit ' . Thank you so much, Angie. ❤️

Small task: reupholster chairs? Does not compute ! Anyway you look great for doing most anything.

Shevia, needle nose pliers, a staple gun, some foam, a couple meters of fabric. It's amazing what you learn on the Internet! (Right side is before, left is after.)

I feel exactly the same way. Find a formula that works for you, feels good against your skin, enables you to complete the task at hand, and REPEAT. You wear columns of color effortlessly. I'm glad you are feeling better.

As a side note, you have not retired yet, right? You still have a few more months.
