Last year I got really tired of wearing graphic tees and or black as a default so trying to do something about it this year. I wore tie-front tops a few years ago and liked them then but I want something simpler/more streamlined now. It's been tough to find tops that don't have ruffles, gathers, or tie fronts. My current collection is heavily skewed toward black (some with prints), simple tees, and older items I’m tired of. I want to try wearing&nbsp;relaxed button down shirts with cuffs rolled, and have bought a couple. I also&nbsp;want some new colors, and although I dislike most of the ruffles, gathers,&nbsp;exuberant sleeves, and other floofy details that are trending, I do like eyelet&nbsp;and lace, and love embroidery but haven’t found the right version of that yet.Also looking for more longer sleeves than sleeveless/short although I do wear&nbsp;both.&nbsp; I don't like the guaranteed permanent wrinkles of&nbsp; 100% woven linen (I know, I'm a real outlier here on YLF), but happy with cotton and/or some linen blends.&nbsp;</p> <p>Last week I ordered an olive green eyelet button-down shirt from Zara. In yesterday’s fab finds&nbsp;Angie showed that same shirt in yellow! (great minds think alike )&nbsp; The order arrived yesterday. The&nbsp;olive green is a lovely color, a little brighter than some olives and neither yellow&nbsp;or grey in tone, just perfect for my color preferences! The Medium is a teensy&nbsp;big snug across the bust and back&nbsp;&nbsp;(a common fit issue for me)&nbsp;, but will be ok.&nbsp; The next larger size was sold out. 100% cotton. Keeping it, and&nbsp; already ordered the light yellow one!&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>I also ordered a different eyelet shirt that I’ll show here. It was way too big in a M, and I don’t like the color on me so it’s going back. and I'm not going to try other sizes. Reads “bed jacket” to me, at least the way it fits on me. LOL. Could work for someone else.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;Also a few weeks ago I found this fab little jacket at my&nbsp;local Zara store. I’m SO glad my local store has finally re-opened their&nbsp;fitting rooms after having them shut down for literally 5 years. (Covid, &nbsp;then who knows why, then a major store reno.) &nbsp;The jacket is 75% viscose, 25% polyamide that feels like a cross between linen and&nbsp;rayon. Lighter weight than a denim jacket.&nbsp;It does wrinkle a bit.&nbsp; It’s&nbsp;quite oversized - I’m 5’1” and wearing an XS.&nbsp;I normally wear a petite 10/12 or M/L in jackets with a more traditional&nbsp;cut. It has a very clever inside&nbsp;drawstring just above the waist, and&nbsp;GOLD snaps (yay!). Obviously it can also be worn as a jacket over a top as in the stock photos.&nbsp; Also, the 3/4 tab sleeves can be unfolded, although they are just a little too long on me.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;All comments/questions welcome, as always :-)&nbsp;</p>
