FWIW, I stick half sole arch inserts in most of my shoes so that the top edge doesn’t hit my ankle bone. A full length insole might work for you to take up width at the forefoot. Or maybe even both?

Thanks for responses!

Feathers, Am typically an AA or AAA fitting, but the issue is also that my foot is narrow both widthways (ie from toe to toe) and in depth (ie from ankle bone to sole). The narrow depth means sneakers often hit my ankle bone, so they need to be shallow if you know what I mean.

Tiger, I actually just replaced my sneakers for jogging, and they were Nike. They have a knit upper, so I think they would be forgiving of a wide range of feet. However, they still look pretty clumpy on me, so I wouldnt wear the style day to day. That’s why I’m interested in sneakers with neat/classic styling.

Angie, the problem is that shoe companies rarely import narrow widths here (in Australia) so I have to import, so looking for some brands to start with!

Team very narrow feet! For true athletic trainers, Nike runs narrow, actually normal width Nike's seem narrower than New Balance in narrow. Making sure the toe shape is more almond than round is important too for a better fit.
Can't help as far as fashion sneakers though!

I have 2 pairs of these New Balances, and they definitely run narrow. I would order a half size up though - in my experience, NBs tend to run short and small, even for athletic shoes. I wear an 8.5 in them, 7.5-8 in normal shoes and 8 in most sneakers. They are really comfy, although I wouldn't use them for serious exercise.

Chiara, I'm on your team. You need to order a NARROW size. Have you tried that? It has made all the difference for me.

I’m wondering if anyone can suggest sneakers that are more likely to fit narrow feet? I’m looking for something neat and classic, styling wise, nothing too bulky.
