I don't subscribe to these, but occasionally I'll buy Lucky, InStyle, Glamour and Self, depending on what coverlines grab me.

I love magazines, so my list looks like Angie's - I need to change careers in order to justify how much money I spend on them! I, too, like to check out British In Style, even German or another country if I can find it!

"O" sometimes has great personal fashion articles that feature all different kinds of women.
Another one that can actually be fun for watching the trends (whether or not you follow them) is People's Style Watch.

I think Bazaar does a consistently good job of keeping women of all ages in mind. It is one of the few magazines that doesn't lump women over 50 into the same category, which I think is wonderful.

One thing you might want to do is spend some time looking at current issues and the content on the website. Some magazines have a lot of good content on their site, so you might decide to get one that has less online.

The only women's magazine I read is Lucky. The prices are usually outrageous, but I like that there is no content. I can just flip through over the month and get ideas for what I like. I sometimes get annoyed and bored with the content of women's magazines (lose weight; love yourself the way you are; look thinner; eating disorders). They are a bit schizophrenic.

I will often read through Allure or InStyle when I'm at my stylist's.

American: In style, Lucky, Elle, Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar, Glamour, Allure

British: Vogue, In style, Elle

They’re all hit and miss, but I love magazines and get to charge them as a business expense.

Hmm...I like Instyle for more "practical" outfits and clothing. I love to peruse Vogue and Harper's Bazaar for inspiration and to ogle clothing that is gorgeous, but completely out of my budget/lifestyle. I've never been a big "Lucky" reader--lately I've looked through it a few times, but everytime I go online to look for an item I liked, it is either sold out, or flat out doesn't exist, so I've sort of given up on trying to read it regularly.

It's also fun to look through some of the British fashion mags, which I can find at Barnes & Noble.

I also get In Style, Lucky, Glamour and Allure. I love In Style that is prob. my favorite, I agree that that most items are out of range but get good ideas. Used to really love Lucky but over the past few yrs. the prices are sky high. So out of my range I prob. won't renew subscription. Glamour and Allure are geared towards younger women but again I pick and choose and because it is geared towards younger women the prices of highlighted items tends to be a bit lower.

I look through a lot of them, but the ones I'm subscribed to are In Style, Lucky and Harper's Bazaar. In Style is my favorite for rules/ideas, though they usually feature things significantly out of my price range.

I'm thinking of getting a subscription to a few fashion mags to keep up with current styles and get some inspiration and shopping advice. Catalogs count as well :)

What do you read? what do you like about it?
