That list would also include Paul Simon and Elvis. Probably Madonna and Dire Straits too. </p> <p>This is really tough. I like different bands for different reasons. I would say when I think of the 80s, I think of Michael Jackson, Madonna and the Clash. That was the soundtrack for that time of life (college) for me. My musical memories are from singing in the school choir or in school musicals! In about 1990 I bought one of those army surplus coarse weave bags that were all the rage and that you would write things all over. I remember my cousin helping me do it and trying to find even one bands name that I liked to put on it!
