I have the shirt that velvetychocolate posted and love the rich color. I do need to iron it after washing, but I find it stays nice and wrinke-free throughout the day.

Those foxcroft wrinkle free tops actually do wrinkle - you still need to iron them after the wash. I have another polyester AT blouse that doesn't wrinkle. Also, have you tried H&M and Zara? They seem to have alot of those types of blouses right now.

I've thrifted a bunch of NY&Co. button front shirts and quite a few of them happen to be bright colors. They often have a good blend of cotton to poly with some stretch and stay crisp looking all day. I think their XS would fit you perfectly. I have no idea what they have on offer at the moment, but I just wanted to chime in with my two cents!

I went 'looking' - found something I think will look nice on you, but it's apparently not wrinkle free. I still think it's worth considering though:

http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Navig...../29866.jsp

On sale for a particularly good price ($30 I think).

the costco shirts do not go down in size to fit me and you are smaller than me. but if you go...their housebrand toscano olive oil and balsamic vinegar are tdf! and a great value.

I haven't noticed any wrinkling problems at all, and I just did the "crumple test" on one of mine to make sure- I crumpled a handful of shirt in my fist, then released. Verdict: excellent lack of wrinkles!

Suz, I was thinking that the wrinkle-fighting treatment would prevent the dye from taking... they say not to use fabric softener on BB shirts, so I'm betting it wouldn't work. It'd be a spendy experiment, too.

Parsley, I LOVE those colors, and reviews say it runs small - yay! How about wrinklage? I don't see much mention in the reviews, which is probably good.

I *LOVE* these Nexx silk shirts! (so much that I have 3 different colors and might get more)
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ne.....rt/3160974?

I know it looks oversized in the picture, but at least on me the fit is reasonably slim, but of course I'm built totally differently from you.
The colors are even more luscious than they look online, and they can be worn tucked or untucked.
I'm betting an XS might work for you.

Yeah, Foxcroft doesn't go down to a small enough size. :T Too bad, because I see them at the swap meet every so often. Hm, I'll have to see if I know anyone who will take me to Costco...

Add me to the list of Costco button-down fans. I was already buying the Kirkland (store brand) no-iron shirts for my husband, and I spied some nice button-downs for women in the store recently (colours like lemon yellow, coral, a nice bright punched-up lavender colour - not pink, not lavender, not fuschia either, some combination of the three). Good quality shirts and they do have some nice colours in-store right now.

Alternatively, Eddie Bauer has some nice no-iron button down shirts. The colour selection is kind of seasonal, and it's true that at this time of year, the colours are kind of Easter-Egg-ish, but still - this is a good shirt. I bought teal in the fall, and it's a great shirt all around. You just need to jump on the shirt when you see it in a colour that you like. In the meantime, this is a well-fitting shirt and not too boxy, imo.

http://www.eddiebauer.com/cata.....&pg=1

These and the Kirkland shirts from Costco come out of the dryer looking like they've come back from the drycleaners. I have the Eddie Bauer shirts in french blue, white, teal and a kind of berry colour. I don't normally buy Eddie Bauer shirts in spring/summer, but their fall colours and neutrals are pretty good.

What kind of colours are you looking for Rae?

I second San on the Foxcroft wrinkle-free shirts. There is usually a variety of colors and styles, but I've not checked them out this spring.
Edit: They run big and even the smallest size might be too big for you.

I have a few bright sweaters and jackets, but my citron blouse is pretty much it on that front. Would have loved to get more BB shirts, but they don't come in bright colors! The trick for me is that the tops can't wrinkle or I feel like a major frumosauraus (my style's relaxed enough that it can't handle them, I think). So do you ladies have any favorites that fit the criteria?

- bright (tomato, orange, citron, lemon, etc.)
- collared
- wrinkle-free
- slim (can be tunic-length, but not as relaxed as the J. Crew popover, for example)
