I 've liked the Dr. Scholls inserts that are formed for arch support. A pair of the gel insoles I bought (pretty sure they were also Dr. Scholls) were very difficult to get used to and took up more room in the shoe. The gel moved as you walked and felt strange like you were trying to walk on a thin water bed. On the plus side, they were wonderful if you were on your feet all day on a hard floor.

Hmm...I don't have a favorite pair, but the Dr. Scholls inserts are nice, especially the ones made for women's shoes--there are some for heels and stuff.

What brand of insoles do you like for making boots and shoes a bit more comfy?

I just got the Franco Sarto booties---thank you so much for the recommendation on those!

I think they are great and I think I might put some gel insoles in them for more comfort.

Are some insoles more sleek than others---made more for shoes? and others better for boots? or do they all work about the same?
