I'm just observing that a higher priced item at the Gap selling out that fast strikes me as unusual given the economic climate we are in. Mostly because all my winter stuff there from last year (several coats!) have not lasted well at all. Another example for me personally is that I would really like a new purse, and was looking at TJ Maxx. Make sure you get the style number and then have them do a store search (but make sure they actually give you the style number!!). If they don't find it in any stores, don't give up but call back in a few days. People return online things to stores a lot and it might pop back up on the website. But the style number is the holy graille.</p> <p>On an entirely different topic, it is fascinating to me that in this recession a $300 jacket can sell out that fast!
