My teacher prefaced this by saying "No laughing or joking. This is serious." (or something to that effect) and clutching the cover to her chest so we couldn't see it until the reveal. When she flipped it over, I was underwhelmed. I was expecting something ghastly that made me flinch in terror. Instead it was just HC's face in closeup. Yes the makeup was bad. Yes the lighting was harsh.
