I think it's because I have, erhm, for lack of a better way to put it "a lot of butt". It's very round and starts pretty high so if pants are properly loose enough around my bum for the BF look, there is just SO MUCH extra fabric that it feels like it completely swamps me. I think I would feel more comfortable in a slimmer pair, but then it loses some of the cool factor you know? I need to get out and try some but for now I don't have my heart set on this look. Now, cream wool midi-length wide culottes? I just did not feel very inspired with this trend and could not imagine myself in them. Then when I was placing NAS order and looking for straight jeans these caught my eye and I decided to order them just for fun together with other stuff. After reading all threads here on this trend I decided to go up 1 size and see what happens. Well, love from the first sight - this is what happened and it surprised me to no end. I am really looking forward to building more outfits with them. So far I accidentally hit one formula that works - long blazer, semi-tuck top with the belt and heels.
