I just had a similar experience on Thursday. As the mother of a 2, 3, and 4 year old, I don't do much shopping anymore and I was in serious need of an update. I quit my job in May to stay home with the boys and got rid of most of my work clothes. What I wanted was a fab MOTG wardrobe Soooooo, I hired a sitter, drove two hours to the "big city" and went wild. Throw in some boxes that have arrived from Nordstrom's and BR and it's all quite obnoxious. But, I'm super excited about my new look and hope to be posting pics next week for feedback and K/R advice. I was concerned it would be irritating. FWIW I have worn my new watch all day today and didn't even notice it, so the metal band is okay too. The face is 33mm across, whereas the two large and heavy ones were 38mm across.</p> <p>Thank you, everyone. Now I have to sit back and wait for the rest of my boxes to roll in. I got two packages from family on Friday and the delivery man seemed already quite overwhelmed. I felt a little bad about gloating in my excess, but honestly, I think the advice to go whole hog was good, and it wouldn't have occurred to me by myself. This stuff will get tons of use and my time for worrying about my fabulosity is about to otherwise come to a grinding halt. </p> <p>N-Marie and Ariadne, ever since I started thinking about kids I have payed more attention to moms in stores, and it does not look easy (or even fun). I think I will have to schedule a few kid-less shopping trips a year for spring and fall because I am a terrible Internet shopper. I tend to keep stuff I wouldn't buy otherwise because of the hassle of the return. Also I just like to see and touch things and fall in love that way.
