If by “sporran style” you mean centered in front, that’s a hard no for me. As much as I rail against asymmetrical clothing, I can’t picture feeling right about bouncing a bag off my belly. </p> <p>Synne, I’m leaning towards no. This discussion has been helpful in nailing down my issues not just with it, but with belt bags in general. I really don’t like “bum bags” by any name. I have dug out the business card of a leather worker who sells his things at markets here. Markets have been closed for over a month (except for food) and will stay that way through Valentine’s Day. When I ignore those and go stubs forward, I usually end up feeling bad about ghd item.<br /> It does depend on what was / is your vision- if you really have something else in mind, then don’t let sales- googles and FOMO be in charge.<br /> I don’t think it looks too big. However, echoing a poster above, I prefer small structured bags as long shoulder- strap hip or crossbody. Because they do otherwise “ stick out” . The strap length would not be a deal- breaker if you’re willing to pay cobbler for shortening. </p> <p>Also double check your color palette plans. Taupe looks great with black, navy, burgundy, but I don’t prefer it with “ crisp” colors and crisp B&amp;W. However I feel the vibe is more ‘structured purse’ than ‘casual athleisure belt bag’. I would personally prefer it to be a cross body purse, which has similar functionality. And if I had a belt bag it would be more of an athletic gear style, I think, with a less stiff shape, and hanging a bit more loosely or angled. The strap is long enough to go around my waist one-and-a-half times. I think that’s so it can be carried over a shoulder, but the way the strap attaches to the bag (see original pix) makes that unworkable. When I tried it over one shoulder, it hung off my body awkwardly. Those shots are too dark to see color, but do show the outline of it, separated from my body. Maybe I’m not doing it right. Hmm. A few years back, when belt bags became popular again, I often wished for a little one I had BITD. The newer models were often too big for my tastes and there was a clear trade off between quality and price, so I looked on in frustration. </p> <p>This little baby looks just right. I don’t know its exact size, but it’s the “mini” version of one that’s 19x23 cm, so I think it will be just right for my iPhone SE, a couple cards, my keys with a folded up fabric bag on the keychain, and maybe a mask. That’s what I need to go out in warm weather. I don’t believe I’ve touched anything by this brand irl, but Anchie loved her white boots from them, and she sticks to good quality. </p> <p>Remembering the shoes that got away a couple months ago because I hemmed and hawed and asked the forum, I jumped on this bag at 60% off.</p> <p>What do ya’ll think? </p> <p>PS 4th pic is JFF—Berlin got a leetel bit of snow yesterday, so some neighbor made this cute leeetel snow person. </p>
