But I love the comment regarding gender. That is just so true. Though I too would "silently" roll my eyes at a woman dressed in that manner. </p> <p>The truth is that I just don't understand "ironic dressing". Being "in" on the joke....I can just see myself approaching someone and saying, " You are SO right. It is ridiculous that no one would find this ludicrous on a woman ! " and the wearer saying , " Huh, I just really like the shirt...." OMG !!!!! So then does the wearer BECOME the joke ? UGH, my head hurts. I guess I need a "venue" for art. I need something around me that speaks to the content or where I can safely think about it without the prospect of accidentally insulting someone . She was basically pointing out that Yoko was most likely making a statement that while these clothes look ridiculous on men if the same line were presented for women, most of us wouldn't even blink twice (case and point: mesh, cutouts, anything bringing attention to the breasts or butt).</p> <p>Idk, I think she might be on to something. </p>
