I'll chime in again later with more detail but I ended up buying it. To clarify, there are knit panels under the arms and knit trim along the neckline/front panels (1" or so.) it is very lightweight and so comfy. It fits like a glove. I was more concerned about the front panel shape--the mixed media aspect didn't even occur to me. I was at the rack so I BBQ'd and will return later if I have to. @inge and tex: the flats are "mix no. 6" via dsw.
