It's a bit of a stretch, but the small circular pattern of the print does make me think a little bit of lily pads. The neckline's a little low so underneath I wore a kelly green knit shell that has a ripply neckline and a turquoise-colored glass beaded necklace - again, trying to evoke the tranquility and movement in the inspiration photo. My own "stems" are encased by my favorite cognac boots. I originally wanted to remix my new Bobeau chevron skirt for this day's challenge. Then I remembered that DD had a softball game today and my original outfit felt too dressy for the event. So here is what I came up with instead.</p> <p>My fedora and leaf earrings (see pic 2) represent the texture and flatness of the leaves floating on the water. The ruffles and print of the top represent the water's abundant plant life. The skort (I KNOW, don't gouge your eyes out, please!) picks up the green in the water. My skinny legs represent the long stems. : P Lastly, my floral rubber sandals and blue toe nails repeat the water theme. </p> <p>Since this top is floaty and boxy, it didn't play nice with the a-line of the skort, so I am trying a front tuck for the first time. (Yesterday, I wore a peplum and today a front tuck.
