shiny, I have the Martin skinny pants from BR and wear them often! Haven't looked at other styles of the Martin pants.

Last winter my dress pants complement consisted of the black Halogen Taylor wide-leg trousers (pictured in #2), black Martin skinny pants, and brown tweed straight leg trousers from Esprit. This was enough to get me through an entire winter but I thought it might be fun to add something in a grey tweed and wide-leg, for a different look.

Curious if you've ever tried the Martins from BR?

Thanks, Angie, I am not sure I am comfortable with tucking although I can experiment with it. I added a couple of photos with "tucking trial run".

Is the fit around the leg on these more or less what it should be for these pants or are these particularly baggy on me?

Zap, I have tried Express Editors a few times and never had any success with them, just could not get the right fit around the crotch. I think they usually feel a bit too stiff for me, while these Classiques pants may be a bit too unstructured, as you say.

The pair of grey pants in #2 is from the Limited and I think they feel somewhat similar to the Editors. I was going to toss the Limited pants but now I am reconsidering.

I have these and prefer to tuck into them. Is that you are comfortable doing too?

I bought and returned those, there was not enough hem allowance to make them PPL. I am not sure if I love the fit. it looks a bit too unstructured at the hip, but I'll leave it to the experts to comment. My pant aesthetics are a bit different. Express has a pair of tweed Editors that are somewhat similar. I bought them instead of the Jesi.

I tried the size down but they were pulling slightly around the waist and were also very wide in the leg.

They look a little big in the leg to me too. I think your grey ones are a better fit.

To my eye, they look a tad too wide around the hip and thighs. I can se why you like them, because they are very nice. They look quite similar to the gray pair in #2, and that one fits you better I think. Did you try sizing down?

What do you think? Too wide/swishy? The hem is folded under by about an inch so these can be made longer.

#2 - two pairs of dress pants I currently own for comparison.

3-4 - attempts at tucking
