I went mostly with colors and a few other details. The base is white, EF bone crepe pants and bone cotton pullover top. Topper is a Halogen pink long cardi. I layered on scarves, pink with a floral print, navy with white polkadots and pale blue floral and gold jewelry and long string of metallic pearls. I used round shapes when I could. Shoes are white flats but I may change to silver or gold metallic loafers for more warmth. Not shown are my small bag which is silver with gold hardware and gold chain crossbody and larger bag, also silver with gold details. I'm also wearing my black daisy ring, which recalls the millefiori-esque pattern, and a wavy silver ring for the snake/water connotations. I am lucky to have Southern Hemisphere summer weather to do this challenge. Both pieces are very soft and fluid, so when I walk there is a sense of motion in the fabric. Decided to use the pink jacket to reflect some of the color, with the white buttons echoing the round shapes/bubbles scattered throughout. And some shine from the skirt, and nude-for-me hosiery for the creaminess of the nymphs’ skin. My Danskos are shiny with a swirly pattern. It’s only cheating a bit, no?<br /> The trouble with the Klimt is it’s romantic, pale and shimmery – and none of those are really present in my winter wardrobe. In the end I chose this dress because of the dainty print and I paired it with my blush coatigan to add vertical lines and softness. I wanted to wear a metallic blush scarf with it but it’s in storage for the season … I feel like I could have gotten closer to the vibe of the painting in spring or summer, wearing this same dress with bare legs, white footwear and said lightweight blush scarf (or pearls).
