I have just recently become&nbsp;a fan of slip-ons.&nbsp;I bought my first pair last year (in&nbsp;blue velvet, <b>very </b>similar to yours)&nbsp;and&nbsp; have been wearing "the heck out of them" (I am wearing them today btw).&nbsp;At first I was afraid that they would look too casual but then I was conquered. Slip-ons are&nbsp;practical, dressier than a sneaker and&nbsp;very good&nbsp;&nbsp;for&nbsp;walking on&nbsp;rough terrain.&nbsp;And I absolutely support you in wearing&nbsp;white shoes no matter the ground and the weather. I'd never purchased "fashion sneakers" befire YLF, but am now entirely dependent on them for casual wear. I put on my favorite pair recently, and they felt a little loose -- a little stretched out -- and I panicked. I wore them 3-4x a week last summer, and a couple times a week all winter. What would I ever do without my slip ons? I found what is likely the last remaining pair on the globe at this sketchy online retailer with dicey reviews that any rational shopper would run from -- and I've handed over my green soldiers with the hope that I can duplicate the shoes. The higher, the better. I have literally laid out a concert stage in some seriously skyscraper heels before. However, that just hasn't worked for me out here in the middle of nowhere, Texas. There's too much mud and dirt and soft ground and gravel and poorly paved parking lots and whatever.</p> <p>So I started looking for practical shoes. I looked at loafers, oxfords, brogues, various types of flats, sandals, I even looked at some low block heels..... I talked about sneaker hybrids with you guys, I looked at lots of sneaker hybrid finds.... And I kept reaching for my Corso Como slip-ons and my Aerosoles sneaker hybrids. Over and over, I kept reaching for those shoes. So, I went and got myself some white Vince slip-ons. (No pic because they're already mud stained. I know, WHITE shoes in the country? What was I thinking? Oh well, I shall continue to love them in spite of the slight mud stains)</p> <p>I've made it my mission to acquire many many pairs of slip-on sneakers in interesting textures and a range of colors and shades that fit my color palette. The first two pairs arrived today.</p> <p>(Very plush) grey velvet slip-ons from a brand I've never heard of, and very deep blue velvet slip-ons from Report (they almost look black in this pic, but I promise they're midnight blue).</p> <p>So thank you all for inspiring me. I might never have found that sneakers can be practical AND fun and stylish if it hadn't been for you guys.
