Curly hair doesn't show mistakes as much as straight hair, so I figured I'd take the plunge myself. I've always been a bit brave with changing my hair, but usually leave it up to the professionals.</p> <p>Abie -- I loved my pixie cut! It was the second time I've had one. I kept it for 4 years this time, but for some reason decided to grow it out. I thought I'd keep the pixie forever, but I love the current length. Thankfully, the awkward grow-out phase only lasted about a month for me before it looked decent again. The strange thing is that my hair is completely straight when it's that short. People who met me with the pixie and see me now are surprised by the curls. My hairdresser suggested I try some wisps first before I commit to bangs, and straightened them for me with a flat iron. I liked it OK, but really wished I could do a full bang. Then, I saw it. My inspiration. Right here on YLF! In the Favourite Outfits of 2011 thread, an hour ago. Her first couple of photos had no bangs, and then boom -- the perfect bangs!</p> <p>I grabbed the flat iron and scissors right away. Cut lots of hair, and here's how it came out! The first photo is from Sept, and the second one is from just now. I LOVE IT!! </p>
