I gave the earwarmer to my girlfriend. She loves it. She wore it yesterday and reported back that she was getting LOTS of compliments. We have a very hipster craft fair here and some folks have suggested I make more and sell them there. I'm not a master knitter. I had never done a lace pattern before but I had an idea of how I wanted this to look and I definitely wanted a lace look. So I found a lace pattern in a book that I thought would be the appropriate width for the band and then I just went for it. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out exactly what I was supposed to be doing and pulled the work out more than a few times before I got the hang of it. I think the scale may not be right. Thoughts? I may try to look for a flower (I don't think I can make one) like the one on the UO earwarmer. </p> <p>Either way, I love the look and think I'll be whipping one up for myself, too.</p> <p>As for my own Christmas gifts, I did get the Pocket Stylist. I'm having fun reading it and am hoping that I'll be able to put the stuff I learn from ylf and the book to good use in the stores soon. </p>
