I have one pair, and they are narrow on my foot. I don’t reach for them at all for foot fit and they don’t mesh with my style. My husband is a huge fan and wears them regularly and consistently for the decades we’ve been married. What he notices is that since the company was purchased by Nike the quality has plummeted. He says they wear out much faster now.

I am so interested in the comments regarding that Converse run narrow.
I have always had a wide foot...missed out on many more refined styles.
I could depend on Converse being wide enough. Given my bros hand me downs I am wondering did I always get mens shoes?

Converse tend to run narrow and uncomfortable for me, but I do wear similar styles. Right now I have all black Skechers Roadies and black and white Blowfish Malibu. The Blowfish are definitely not a Converse dupe, but have a similar vibe with outfits for me.

I’ve worn Converse continuously since 8th or 9th grade, so, 30+ years. For years I just had the classic Chucks, up a full size because of the narrow toe. My current versions are classic Chucks in wide width (solves the toe problem for me); the Lift platform; and the chunky Run Star Hike. I have them each in classic black and white, plus lilac Lift platforms and solid black leather Run Star.

Despite the heavy, clunky sole, the Lift platforms are more comfortable for me. I’m considering getting them in silver leather as well but I have too many Converse so I should probably resist.

I also have a few older ones I haven’t passed along yet - an old ‘Slim’ style with a very thin sole and some black leather wedges from when those were popular. I bet they’ll rotate back into favor eventually.

(Edit - I have custom orthotics in place of the insole in the Slim version, from when I had a dance injury. The standard insoles aren’t meant to be removable but you can rip them out with some effort. I don’t bother now but back when I was healing, it made a huge difference for all the usual Converse flaws.)

I have some low white and some grey converse but do not wear them much. If I did not need to do up laces I would probably use them more. This winter my feet have changed (more boney) so I need the laces more to make them fit. I hope to find some lined and with side zippers that fit well. I prefer booties and socks.

Converse sneakers briefly were part of my footwear collection. My one pair started hurting my feet, and I had to let them go just last month. Fortunately, those Converse sneakers have found a new owner, who I hope will love and wear them for a long time.

For the past thirty years, I have almost always had one or two pairs of Chucks in my wardrobe. Here are the current ones. The black ones have almost 200 wears and are still kicking.

I have never tried any, and the only ones I have really loved how they look were my daughter’s wedding ones! They seem too chunky for my style somehow and so I always found them expensive for something that I didn’t like the look of much!

I'm not a big sneaker wearer, but I did find an exact copy of Angie's burgundy leather high tops, brand new, in my size, at the thrift store. (It has not yet been the weather to try them out.)

From age 16 to 26, I wore almost nothing but Converse, but finally had to admit that the narrow toe box was contributing to too many foot/ankle/knee problems for me to keep wearing them. Since then, I’ve found plenty of other sneakers with more room for my toes and though I still love the Chuck Taylor look, I don’t miss wearing them. Maybe I’m a club member emerita?

Yes to converse. I have worn them since I was a little girl as a result of my brothers hand- me -downs.
I currently have 4 pair, 2 leather hightops, 2 canvas lows.
I would like to add a pair of cream canvas high tops, but that is more of a want than a need.

These are my three pairs. The most comfortable are the knit turquoise ones — I love those for summer.

The black ones are fleece lined and pretty good for winter but the truth is I’m more of a boot person than a winter high-top person. I do wear them from time to time, and kinda like them for semi-rugged wear like travel days on a road trip or camping, when not wearing boots.

The red ones are my least worn ones. They are not amazingly comfortable but suffice. Sometimes they are the right vibe for a casual jeans outfit but not workhorses. Good thing they’re classic enough that I don’t mind holding onto them for years of infrequent wear!

Alas, the regular flat versions do not work for my feet. I had the fun leather platform version (which worked much better for me) but found them heavy and after Angie had her accident, I gave up on them...

I will enjoy them on the rest of you who own them!

I have two more pairs of leather high tops Converse but I’m not sure if I will wear them again due to some issues. Love all Converse on others, though.

I have three pair and wear the low top ones at home and the high top pair out and about. The navy pair is probably 8 years old and has over 300 wears. The black pair is a couple of years old so doesn't have as many wears. The mustard pair is great for rainy days.
