Most of our photos are still being worked on by DH who has been down with a head cold since the trip, so I just used some I'd taken. I hope that you are not disappointed in the outfits. I could do better, I think, but didn't want to wait. Do you have any favorites?<br /> 1-4: First, one of my major impressions of Ireland was how the ancient permeates the feel of the place. To try to capture cathedral stained glass, old burial places over 5000 years old, the Celtic symbols, I used my grey skirt, citron green linen tank, linen jacket and Celtic-looking necklace. The grey reminds me of the stone.<br /> 5/6: Buildings painted bright colors everywhere. This one is our hotel in Killarney. I hoped to capture the rich red with white and black trim.<br /> 7-8: The dramatic cliffs falling into the sea. I tried to capture the scene with tuxedo pants and a grey silk top.<br /> 9-10: the cliffs again but this time I was thinking of a theme I saw everywhere...the powerful and lasting with the delicate and temporal. Here there are the strong cliffs and sea with tiny delicate sea pinks growing our of the rock. I hope that the strong black vertical of this tuxedo suit and pink in the top can tell this story.<br /> 11/12: Loved this view from Galway. I hope the outfit works.<br /> 13-15: a typical old thatched roof cottage along the road. The texture of the top reminded me of thatch ( so does my hair!). The pendant is to represent a window.<br /> 16-18: A rainy night at a pub with peet burning in the fireplace, traditional Irish live music, and excellent beer. I went for the cozy warmth.<br /> Thank you for looking.
