I could very much wear these looks in my "regular" (non-jet set to paris) life and it was just what I needed to kick off taking some photos of WIWs, etc. </p> <p>Rabbit-- Consignment and vintage is a great place to pick up pieces, I hope you find yours. I won't take too much credit, since another YLFer posted the deal on the boards, several of us purchased the jacket . . . I just know mine gets worn proportionally more often than most . . . but then again I like a small wardrobe and it was great for my body type and climate.<br />The oxfords have become really practical pump alternatives, esp. since I live somewhere snowy. </p> <p>Mary K -- Thank you . . . you are making me blush.</p> <p>Cocolion-- Awesome to hear this helped you get a feel for me. The beanie is cashmere and a gift from a YLFer (we do a secret santa and the lovely Biscuitsmom purchased it for me!). The leather jacket is from Speigel this August and was on sale for $35. The turtle is a Ralph Lauren number I picked up at a TJMaxx for about $30 dollars. The boots are Miz Mooz and so are the oxfords, both purchased off Zappos. The blouse worn with the pencil to the cocktail 'do is also a TJ Maxx $13 dollar find.&nbsp; The pencil skirt is a Halogen ponte knit from Nordies they bring back most years, and I think I paid about $40 for it, but it is fully lined, etc. The grey tunic/dress is probably 6 years old, but it was purchased at TJMaxx.&nbsp; I'm on a tight budget. Luckily, with the dark eyes and hair, I can get away with loving black. </p> <p>Suz, as always, I appreciate your comments!&nbsp; I admire Shevia's look. I wear my Speigel jacket pretty often when I'm not getting dirty at work, and definitely outside of work as well. It has definitely paid for itself. I also wear the blouse from the cocktail outfit regularly over a black l/s tee, just untucked. It is one of my favorite outfits. The draped turtle was what I wore to my job interview-- I've also worn it to work, to funerals, etc. It is nice to hear that I "do" have an eye. It just gets lost in a lot of my day-to-day dressing because of the "mom-to-go" factor the new job has.
