I'm so glad you identified what the favourites have in common and how to wear them in new ways.</p> <p>I cannot choose a favourite outfit though. This was a great challenge and it definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone just enough to be fun, which is about perfect.</p> <p>First of all, I got my hair cut last night and the way it was blown dry is kind of a weird '60s flip thing. Not sure I love it, but I figure it'll only last until I wash it, right?</p> <p>Now, onto the outfits! The three cardigans I picked were all ones&nbsp;that you guys have seen a lot of: drapy black/white Anthro, Eileen Fisher black merino, and burgundy Everlane boyfriend style. Probably not coincidentally, they're all ones I bought since starting to participate. What they have in common, besides that, is that they all have fluid fits, are made from&nbsp;high-quality materials, and have a "twist" rather than being the standard crew neck.</p> <p>#1: How I usually wear the Anthro cardigan: Over a simple dark sheath dress or pencil skirt and top. </p> <p>Here I wore it with black ponte pants, a light gray top, and simple black patent heels. There's definitely a more casual and springy vibe, and the gray top brings out the softness of the sweater.&nbsp;And, yup, the pants are one of the results of my frantic shopping for something to wear a polo shirt with. I'd also add my orange bag here for a little color.</p> <p>#2: How I usually wear the EF cardigan: Over a dress with a black-based print with black tights and boots.&nbsp;</p> <p>I think the outfit here was one of my favorites of the bunch. I really love how much lighter and more playful this looks than some of my usual outfits. The blue dress isn't one I wear much, but I love the color. (Please ignore the wrinkles in it -- come to think of it, the wrinkle-prone fabric may be one reason I don't wear it much, but anyway….) I wouldn't have thought of adding the dotted hose and these wedges without Ornella's extra credit suggestions, so I'm so glad she put those in there! The obi belt is there to add a little more structure.</p> <p>#3: How I usually wear the Everlane cardigan: In a bunch of ways, but usually it's the only color with dark neutrals or jeans.&nbsp;</p> <p>For something different here, I decided to go tonal with lighter accents and&nbsp;semi-copied <a rel="nofollow" href="http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/colorblocking-for-the-introvert">this old outfit</a> of Rae's, which I've been meaning to do for a while. Obviously, this will have to wait until it's warm enough for bare legs, but I'm looking forward to wearing it! This is the same gray shirt as in #1 -- it's basically the only presentable light-colored top I own.</p> <p>#4: Of course I had to go for the extra credit! I'd already done an outfit with the obi belt, wedges, and dotted hose, so I decided to see if I could work the pleated sweater skirt in too. The cardigan here's from BR and just came in the mail and the top is a lacy shell I've had sitting for a while, but never worn. I'm not sure this is the most flattering outfit ever, but I'm definitely going to see if I can tweak it a little. And the oatmeal cardigan is in #5 with another pair of wedges.</p> <p>#5 and #6: Column-of-color-palooza! The burgundy skinnies are the ponte kind that are really more like thicker leggings and I realized&nbsp;the only similar-colored top I had long enough to work with them is a pilling tunic sweater that would be hard to layer much over. So I decided to go with the burgundy pencil skirt and a basic tee. Neutral cardigans are in #5 and I thought&nbsp;all worked well, but where I really had fun was the colored ones. The burgundy one is a little <i>too</i> tonal for me, but I really liked the teal and fuchsia. I also couldn't help trying a new cardigan in COBALT that just arrived in the same BR order.</p> <p>Thanks again to Ornella for such an intelligent and thoughtful challenge!
