So I'm back to the thread with my morning coffee and what a start of the day it is.&nbsp;</p> <p>This challenge is a great reminder that style is not just something we're born with. It's&nbsp;a result of work and&nbsp;thought process, but ultimately just a reflection of person. Seeing "then" and "now" and what had truly changed, along with personal insights gained along the way, was great. In fact, I love even better&nbsp;that you felt empowered just from looking back through the photos.&nbsp;I remember when you appeared here and also your references to your 'old' (style) self, which started to change with a help of YLF. Many of us can relate to that and the fact that all other style or lifestyle&nbsp;blogs simply stop being resources of any sort once we realise the depth and power of this one.&nbsp;</p> <p>I am a big supporter of giving yourself time to do things your way, at our own time, and again - no better place to exercise that but here. Go headless for as long as you like.&nbsp;I don't mean to sound patronising, but from the personal experience I can say that&nbsp;by going through this process you will learn so much more about yourself.&nbsp;</p> <p>Finally, I can strongly relate to not wearing some things because they remind you of the unhappy times. Personally, I don't floral pattern. I remember my teens in the late 80s and those were definitely my own pre-happy days. Which, looking back, is of course a mish-mash of things, most of all not knowing myself the way I do now. But I am a good learner :). I used to take notes from Angie's blog posts and implemented them right away. Suz - I would love to learn about your style journey. Everything I know is from what I learnt and Angie is so right in saying that anyone can be stylish.</p> <p>MsK - My hair was hip length ... And I used to get a haircut probably once in two years. Lol. Its hardly two years since I went short and super short (Bob) a year back. I will go pixie in a year too. The only thing stopping me now is the maintenance part of pixie. With kids its a bit hard to visit a salon every 6 weeks.</p> <p>Cut of the clothes were only baggy. Not trendy oversized but sloppy big. Because I was too conscious about my body. Losing a few pounds definitely helped with the body image.</p> <p>Angie - You know I am your biggest fan, right? When I found YLF, I quit all the other blogs. I still follow them, but not like how I do with YLF! Being on the forum and posting outfits has been the best part of the learning curve.
