I'd wear this outfit!</p> <p>I am very slow to edit my closet because sometimes a holding zone item becomes a workhorse item after I've added something else to my closet, or my style preferences just shift.</p> <p>I only truly edit my closet twice a year, once in the beginning of the year for my sister swap (my sister and I swap clothes every Jan) and again later in the year during the neighborhood garage sale. The rest of the year I will edit my wardrobe by putting items in the holding zone, but items only leave the house twice a year. This helps me avoid any editing regrets. However, inspired by <b>Irina's</b> recent linen top post, I decided to give it another try-on. I paired it with these cotton denim pull-on pants from Uniqlo, creating a blue tonal look. </p> <p>The reason I wasn't wearing this top much was mostly because of the fit of the folded tab sleeve. It was too tight around my elbows whenever I bent my arm. The sleeves are only 3/4 length when fully unrolled. I decided to try <b>Angie’s</b> little trick with tab on the sleeves, and the fit is so much roomier now around the elbows </p> <p>I also almost donated these sandals, too. I bought them years ago when Canada had a Nordstrom Rack. They've sat unworn for several years because I just favored wearing other styles more. Then, this week, my big toe started acting up, and it was suggested that wearing a rocker style sandal with a rigid sole might help. These sandals fit the bill, my toe is happier and bonus, it turns out they work quite well with most of my summer wardrobe. </p> <p>Finally, the little necklace I'm wearing wasn't going to be donated, BUT I hadn't worn it in years. I bought it at an artisans fair, and it's actually convertible. See the photo below for the configuration options. I decided to convert it to its smallest configuration, and I really like it this way.</p> <p>So there you go, 3 items have been revived and proven their worth once again with a simple try- on session. </p> <p><b><i>What about you? How often have you been able to give holding zone or almost donated items a new lease on life?</i></b> </p>
